Proffer Productions has been a family-owned production company since its founding in 1978. Technology has advanced dramatically since the days of magnetic tape and multi-image slide presentations, and so have audiences.
We’ll keep you up to date with both.
Molly Proffer trained for her career in video production by majoring in philosophy at Vassar College. (After writing about Kant for four years, she decided to switch to something easier: anything else.) As president, Molly focuses on marketing but can’t stay away from production. She’s an ace scriptwriter and enjoys concept development and directing.
Don Proffer is responsible for the vision of the company. As lead producer for many of our larger clients, he has developed expertise in marketing and communications for associations, manufacturing, engineering, and other industries. Don has also been recruited to lead a number of business and community organizations over the years, and he is happy to hold meetings on the golf course.
Chief Operating Officer
Gabrielle Kaniger is an experienced business owner and business advocate — she helps entrepreneurs turn great ideas into reality. For over 30 years, she has brought clarity and purpose to day-to-day operations, not to mention getting everyone on the same page and directed toward a common goal.
Ben Proffer has been a reporter, a blogger, a travel writer, a docent, an arts agent, and now has brought his various talents to marketing and production work for his family’s business. He excels at collaborating with clients to create digital content that will appeal creatively to their markets. He thinks that, in life and in video production, you need to focus first on the outcome you want — and then get creative.
Tyler Sherman studied video production at the University of Central Missouri and came to Proffer as an intern. He has since honed his skills to become a full-time videographer and video editor. Tyler likes to research new techniques and technologies to create a better product. Outside of video production, Tyler enjoys getting to the golf course to play a round.
Jamie Hitchings is our Digital Diva. She earned her title traveling the country teaching video editing. From NYU to the TED Conferences and from the United Nations to leading the Educational Initiative at the Final Cut Pro Users Group New York City, she spread the craft of turning raw footage into masterpieces.
